The year that has just come to a end has once again yielded exceptional results—a positive achievement that stands out clearly against the backdrop of what was objectively a challenging year.
Giovanni Nocita, Commercial Director at Omag, tells us more.
In a difficult year, marked by the painful legacy of prolonged conflicts such as the Israeli-Palestinian and Russian-Ukrainian conflicts, Omag has once again established itself as a leading partner. This is the feedback we’ve received from almost all markets, including those facing complex political and social situations.
We’ve analyzed the numbers with our industry partners and expect 2026 to be just as challenging, but we’re eager to tackle new challenges, drawing strength from the many projects we’ve been keeping under wraps.
The first, and perhaps most visible, of these projects is the opening of a new section of our main facility. This expansion represents much more than just an increase in space; it is a symbol of our continued growth and our long-term vision. Two thousand (2,000) new square meters, spread over two floors, will partly house modern, bright and spacious offices designed to welcome the new generation of talent joining our ever-expanding family, and partly provide significant support for future logistics operations.
The first of these will be collaborative spaces equipped with the latest technology and designed to stimulate creativity and encourage the exchange of ideas among teams.
The seconds are spaces already managed by our warehouse team: we have installed four new vertical storage systems directly connected to our company MES to ensure production organization aligned with our future ambitions. In addition, a large space has been added to the logistics area for the storage of packaged machines ready to ship to major destinations throughout the global pharmaceutical industry: complete lines for sachets and liquid sticks, as well as for oral solids; pre-glued cartoning machines, but especially top-load cartoning machines, along with state-of-the-art robotic systems. All Made in Omag.
“But we didn’t stop there. The expansion was designed with a holistic approach that prioritizes the well-being and peace of mind of our people—both employees and customers. We’ve planned a new, larger, and more functional locker room area that meets the needs of a growing team. At the same time, a new cafeteria—finally larger and more welcoming—will ensure our employees can enjoy their breaks in a comfortable environment suited to the number of people working with us today. This investment in human capital reflects our belief that productivity and innovation thrive in an environment of mutual respect and appreciation. Furthermore, the new offices will accommodate increasingly larger and more specialized teams, ensuring a steady increase in the expertise we offer our partners and customers, who continue to invest in Omag, confident that they will always achieve the best results.
The reorganization of the spaces does not end with the expansion. Consequently, this entire process of expansion and reallocation will create new space in the central area of the facility, which will soon undergo a major renovation. This transformation will not only affect the aesthetics but will also provide an opportunity to further optimize workflows, improve production efficiency and integrate new technologies, creating an even more modern and cutting-edge work environment.
It is worth mentioning our flagship facility: a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with all the necessary technologies and instruments to ensure that our testing department can provide a comprehensive analysis of our customers’ products and films at any time and thus recommend the most suitable dosing systems for that specific product. This is how we, for example, approached and decisively won our challenge in packaging particularly complex products such as Macrogol or Probiotics.
All of this is complemented by one of the most significant investments Omag has made to date: a roughly 100-square-meter area with controlled temperature and humidity, equipped with air handling units (AHUs), which are essential for maintaining the environmental conditions required in the cleanrooms of pharmaceutical facilities. This ensures that, during testing, our customers experience environmental conditions that perfectly replicate the exact conditions in which the lines will operate once installed at their own facilities.
It has now been three years since we launched our new strategic plan, titled “FUTURE IS OUR TIME.” With determination and humility, “keeping our heads down,” we have projected ourselves into the future, aware that it is not a predetermined destiny, but a path to be written day by day. It is a field in which we feel particularly at ease, because our mission has evolved into the ability to anticipate our customers’ needs, providing solutions even before they are explicitly requested.
This is not merely a marketing goal, but a true calling. Our in-depth understanding of processes, combined with our proactive attention to market needs, allows us to offer unrivalled added value.
I often like to say that our strength and our vision for the future do not depend on a single sale more or less. It is not the immediate transaction that defines us, but the long-term relationship we build with those who place their trust in us. That is why we want the tens, hundreds and thousands of partnerships we have built, are strengthening and will form in the future to speak a single language: that of the future. Not of the past, not of the present, but of what is yet to come. Our aspiration is to walk together toward this horizon—and to remain there.
That is why we have established—and continue to build—a Service Team whose sole objective is to provide excellent, ongoing support to the key players in this mission: our customers!
In practice, what does that mean? The customer is the CENTER of this futuristic universe, and we must always keep that in mind. Always!
For OMAG, the operator plays a central role around whom an ecosystem is developed to make their work as easy as possible: for this reason, 2026 will see the launch of a new user interface for OMAG machines, designed to make human-machine interaction more fluid, comprehensive, clear and innovative.
How? We will provide operators with more advanced tools to give them the confidence and assurance they need to operate with ease, while simplifying the management of complete production lines that are becoming inherently more complex. The ultimate goal is to increase productivity and flexibility, and to speed up batch changeovers, cleaning and format changes. These are issues that are increasingly important to our customers, especially those in the pharmaceutical industry. All of this is achieved simply by calling up the appropriate recipe via the HMI.
This feature will be included as standard on all new packaging machines, both for primary and secondary packaging, with no change in price.
